Miami must DEMAND Genting gives them the TALLEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD!
Okay, this is the LAST post. We felt it was worth it to come out of retirement since the land it would be built on is the last remaining piece of downtown property fronting Biscayne Bay worthy of only the best "destination architecture." Nothing beats a city's bragging rights like claiming the world's tallest building. I hope Miami DEMANDS Genting (the company that recently bought the Miami Herald property on the bay) tops this latest 3,280' Saudi Arabian upstart: http://chicago.curbed.com/archives/2011/08/02/adrian-smith-gordon-gill-designs-worlds-tallest-skyscraper.php#kingdom-tower-1 According the the article, the building is supposed to cost $1.2 billion. Genting's Miami Resort World is planning on investing 3 billion on the Miami site. That leaves more than enough money to build a bigger tower.

Yes, because Miami needs to be the worlds premier destination for Islamo-fascist terrorist attacks.
